While some skin problems are visible to the naked eye, others are only visible under UV light. This light highlights the damaged lower layers of the skin.
The LED Skincope acts as a dermatological magnifying glass. This technology made by SkinCeuticals detects the signs of photoaging (premature ageing of the skin caused by overexposure to UV rays), invisible to the naked eye.
Patients' skin is screened with two types of light: a daylight simulator to assess imperfections visible to the naked eye and an ultraviolet light to identify damaged under-layers.
